About
My Story
From a very young age I was fascinated by my native indigenous roots, culture and traditions, which largely influenced and inspired my passion for archaeology and the preservation of cultural heritage. My parents would often take us to Las Ruinas de San Andres (El Salvador) where as a 6 year old I would pretend to be an explorer whilst climbing these giant pre-columbian pyramids. It left me feeling intrigued, curious and wanting to know more.

In 2010 I completed a Bachelor of Archaeology with Honours at La Trobe University, Melbourne. My honours thesis focused on the theoretical review of bio-anthropological age estimation methods used to determine the age-at-death of Classic Maya individuals. The review explored issues of accuracy, particularly when compared to age records found in hieroglyphic evidence.

I have been an archaeologist and registered Heritage Advisor in Victoria since 2011.
